RBT Position

RBT Full-Time, School-Based 

The role of a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in school is to assist in the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of behavioral supports to meet the needs of students with behavioral issues at school. The RBT practices under the ongoing supervision and guidance of a BCBA or BCaBA and the direction of the teacher or Intervention Specialist in the classroom. The position involves collaboration with ABA Outreach staff, school team members, and related services providers. (It is a requirement for staff in this position to obtain their RBT within a set date upon hire).

The role of Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) is to assess, plan, develop, and monitor behavioral supports to meet the needs of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavior, social, and/or communication challenges. The BCBA supports, trains, and supervises Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavior Therapists to implement proactive behavioral, social, communication, functional, and academic interventions. The position involves collaboration with families, team members, and related services providers.
